Frequently Asked Questions About Crush Rewards
Everything you need to know about earning rewards, redeeming tokens, data privacy, and how Crush works.
Getting started
Crush is a free app that pays you for sharing your everyday shopping, like your receipts, store shelves, and (if you choose) your card purchases. You earn digital rewards that are truly yours to keep. There are no points that expire, and no company that can take them away.
Yes, it is 100% free. There is no subscription, no sign-up fee, and no catch. Crush stays free thanks to anonymous, big-picture shopping trends. Your identity is always stripped out, so nothing is ever tied to you personally, and you stay in control of what you share.
Not at all. You can use Crush from start to finish without ever thinking about crypto. Your rewards sit in a simple wallet inside the app, and the app takes care of the technical parts for you.
Take a photo of a receipt, scan a product shelf while you shop, connect a debit or credit card to earn automatically, or run the Crush Missions browser extension on your computer. You can do any combination. The more shopping you share, the more you earn.
Yes. Your information is protected with strong, bank-level security. It is only ever used as anonymous, grouped-together trends, never anything tied to you personally. You are always in control of what you share.
Earning rewards
There are four easy ways: snap photos of your receipts, take photos of products on store shelves while you shop (no purchase needed), connect a card to earn automatically on purchases, or run the Crush Missions browser extension on your computer. Each one you do adds rewards to your balance.
Tap Scan, then take a clear photo of your whole receipt after you check out. Make sure the store name, the date, and the total are all easy to read and in focus.
Usually it was blurry, cut off, already submitted, or not a real store receipt. Take a fresh photo of the full receipt in good light, with all four corners showing, and try again.
In the app, choose to link a debit or credit card. Once it is connected, you earn automatically on your purchases without any extra steps. You can remove it any time you like.
Yes. Cards are linked through Plaid, the same trusted, industry-standard service used by many of the banking and budgeting apps you already know. Crush never sees or stores your card number or your bank password. Your purchase information is only ever used to give you rewards.
It is a small daily target, like scanning a few receipts. Hitting it keeps your daily streak alive, and the longer your streak runs, the bigger the bonus multiplier you earn on your rewards. A quick scan each day quietly grows what you make.
Shelf scanning
It is a bonus way to earn while you shop. You take a photo of products and price tags on a store shelf, no purchase and no receipt required. Approved captures add to the same rewards balance as your receipts and linked cards.
From Scan, choose Shelf (or tap the shelf card on Home). Share location when asked so we can find a supported store near you, pick your store and an aisle, then photograph the shelf with a few products and their price tags visible. Clear, well-lit photos work best.
No. Shelf scanning is separate from receipt scanning. You can earn from a clear shelf photo without buying anything or submitting a receipt.
Good photos get rewarded. Frame a few products close enough to read the labels, include the shelf price tags, and keep the shot sharp. Screens or printed photos, empty shelves, single-product close-ups, and shelves from a different store than the one you picked do not count.
At supported retailers near you. Open the shelf flow and the app shows stores in range and which aisles are open for scans. Coverage is growing, so if you do not see a store yet, check back soon.
Approved shelf scans feed your regular reward cycle and land in the same CRUSH balance as everything else. Nothing expires, and nobody can take it away. Your multiplier, streaks, and other bonuses still apply to the activity that feeds your payout.
Crush Missions
Crush Missions is how you earn CRUSH by helping capture real-world prices. There are two ways to do it: scan shelves in the Crush app while you shop in stores, or add the browser extension, which checks public prices in the background. Both pay the same CRUSH into the same wallet.
Shelf scanning lives in the Crush app: you photograph products and price tags on store shelves, no purchase needed. The browser extension lives in your web browser and works on its own, quietly checking public product prices in the background. Use one or both. It all adds up in the same CRUSH balance.
It is a free browser extension that earns you CRUSH in the background. It is the most hands-off way to earn with Crush. It checks public product prices on the pages Crush needs refreshed and pays you for the help. It collects nothing from your own browsing, so it is private by design.
Right now, the extension is open to Crush app users. Download the Crush app, create your free account, then add the extension to your browser and sign in. It is on Chrome first, opening up to everyone soon, but you can start earning today.
For now, yes. Shelf scanning happens inside the Crush app, and the browser extension is currently open only to people with a Crush account, which you create in the app. Download the app first, then scan shelves in store or add the extension to earn from your browser. We are working on opening the extension up to everyone.
There is nothing to do. That is the point. Once it is installed and signed in, the extension works on its own in the background, checking the public product prices Crush needs and earning you CRUSH. You do not shop, click, or scan anything.
Yes. The extension is built to be the private opposite of most shopping add-ons. It reads only public product prices on the pages Crush asks it to check, keeps no browsing history, and hard-blocks sensitive sites like banking, health, email, and social. What it gathers is anonymous and never tied to you, and you can pause or remove it anytime.
Into the same CRUSH balance and wallet you use in the Crush app. Rewards from shelves and from your browser add up together with everything else, and they are always yours to keep, with nothing that expires.
Your rewards and payouts
Your rewards are added on a regular schedule, once your shopping has been checked. When a new payout is ready, it will be waiting for you to claim in the app, and it is yours the moment you do. There is no minimum amount needed to start earning.
In your balance inside the app, and in your wallet. Every reward you earn is yours to keep for as long as you like.
No, never. Your rewards are yours to keep. They do not disappear if you take a break, and nobody can take them away from you.
Boost lets you set aside some of your rewards to earn more. You get a thank-you bonus for boosting, plus a higher rate on everything you earn from receipts, shelves, and cards. Boosted rewards stay set aside for a few days before you can move them again, so boost what you are happy to leave for a bit.
Your wallet
In your own wallet inside the Crush app. Your rewards are a digital token called CRUSH. Think of the wallet as a private pocket that only you can open.
Yes, fully. The wallet is truly yours, and only you control it. The Crush team has no control over it, so we cannot freeze it, move your rewards, or undo anything for you. That also means you are responsible for whatever you do from your wallet, so anything you send is final and worth double-checking before you send.
Just sign back into Crush on your new phone with the same login, and your wallet comes right back with you. Keep your login safe, since it is how you reach your rewards.
Sending and receiving
You can send USDC and SOL from your wallet to any Solana address. Sending CRUSH itself is switched off for now, and that is on purpose: most places you might send it do not support it yet, and a send cannot be undone. Swap to USDC first, then send that. Always double-check the address, because sends are final.
Usually the address. A common mix-up is pasting an Ethereum address, which starts with 0x and will not work here, because Crush runs on Solana. Paste a full Solana address and the button turns on. If it stays off, check that your email is verified and that you have picked a token you can send.
In almost every case the rewards did arrive. The usual cause is the other person checking the wrong wallet or the wrong network. Sends cannot be undone, so the address and network need to be correct before sending. If you are still unsure, contact support and we will help you check.
Nine times out of ten it is the address or the network. Check that you are sending to a Solana address, and that the app on the other end is expecting Solana too. If it still will not go through, reach out to support and we will take a look with you.
Yes. Crush runs on a public blockchain, so every transfer is recorded permanently and can always be looked up. Inside the app there is a link that opens your wallet's history in a blockchain explorer, where you can see all your past transfers any time.
Cashing out
Open the Swap tab in the app. You can swap CRUSH for USDC, other crypto, or stocks. Cashing out to your bank opens up at Level 4, and every receipt and shelf scan moves you closer. Once it is open, swap CRUSH for USDC, a digital dollar that aims to always be worth one US dollar. Open the app you want your cash in, such as Cash App, Robinhood, Coinbase or Binance, choose Receive or Deposit for USDC and pick the Solana network, then copy the address it gives you. Send your USDC to that address and it usually arrives within a minute, ready to sell for dollars and withdraw to your bank. The one thing to get right is the network: choose Solana on both ends, and remember an address starting with 0x is the wrong one. There is no minimum, and a simpler one-step cash-out is on the way.
Not CRUSH directly, and swapping first is the way around it. Exchange your CRUSH for USDC in the app, then send that USDC to your exchange, which is something exchanges widely support. From there you can sell it for dollars and withdraw to your bank. Make sure you are sending to a USDC address on the Solana network, because sends are final.
Referrals
Share your personal invite link from the app. When a friend joins through your link and gets started, you earn a referral bonus as our way of saying thanks for spreading the word.
Your account and privacy
Mainly your shopping: the receipts you snap, the shelf photos you take in store, and, if you connect a card, your purchases. That is what earns you rewards. It is only ever used as anonymous, grouped-together trends, never anything tied to your name.
Yes. You are always in control of your information. If you would like to remove your account or your data, reach out from the Help section in the app and we will take care of it.
First, make sure your email is verified in the app, since that unlocks earning. Then check that your receipts or shelf scans are clear and accepted, or that your card is still connected. If everything looks right and you are still stuck, contact support and we will look into it with you.
Start here in the FAQ, since most answers are above. If you still need a hand, tap Contact support in the Help section of the app and our team will get back to you.
